I happened to put out my fiber items in the hopes that I might actually sell something. No such luck. However, I met Zoë Melo at one of the yard sales.
Zoë heads Neighbors by Design is a socio-enterprise, a community-centered platform that uses design as a tool to bring neighbors together and in the process create products made out of recycled materials donated by neighbors.
While most of my inventory is high end for potential sales income, I do like to create items from scrap yarn, which would fit the business model more. Either way, it’s an opportunity to sell some of my stuff and make some extra money, especially since I have lost my graphic/web design job.
